Theme of Bayonetta - Mysterious Destiny is the main theme of the first Bayonetta game. The lyrics reflect Bayonetta's fighting style and her feelings towards her lost memories. It is one of the most recognizable songs from the franchise.

The song was performed by Helena Noguerra, written by Nikola Obermann and composed by Masami Ueda.

Bayonetta[]

Mysterious Destiny serves as one of the main fighting themes alongside Fly Me To The Moon (∞ Climax Mix) and plays in nearly every chapter.

On the Bayonetta Original Soundtrack, Mysterious Destiny is the 17th track of disc 1. The soundtrack also includes three additional versions of the song;

  • GM03 Angel Attack (Track 8, Disc 5), a version that plays during the Angel Attack! minigame.
  • 'Prototype', (Track 24, Disc 5) an unused, early version.
  • 'Retro Ver.' (Track 28, Disc 5) a version that appears during certain cutscenes at The Gates of Hell.

Bayonetta 2[]

Mysterious Destiny is replaced with Tomorrow Is Mine as the game's new anthem.

The Retro version of the song plays in one of the cutscenes with Rodin at The Gates of Hell. It is included in the Bayonetta 2 Original Soundtrack as Track 38 on Disc 5.

Lyrics[]

Bayonetta, you're a mystery (Who...)
You came along with a destiny (...Are you?)
This is your life
A battlefield telling you who you are (A mystery, Bayonetta)
Bayonetta, this is your time (Hold tight)
You gonna sparkle,
You gonna shine (Moon light)
Girl, when you fight,
it looks like a dance
You are magic, you're magic (You're dancing beautiful, Bayonetta)

C'mon, c'mon
Come on, there's only one way
Your way
C'mon
Come on, you know there's only one way
Your way
Dance, fight
Spin around, spin around
Dance, fight
Fly higher, fly higher, fly higher

Bayonetta, you bury your loneliness deep down in your eyes
(Beautiful, beautiful, so powerful, so lonely)
Sadness lies in your smile (Lonely heart)
But victory shines in your eyes (You will find it)
You are still alive
(Deep down in your heart)
(Deep down inside, victory)
