Tetsuzanko (鉄山靠, tetsuzankō, lit. "iron mountain lean") is a melee move with any hand-mounted weapon that allows Bayonetta to instantly project a Wicked Weave attack at a nearly unlimited distance to the enemy in front of her at the expense of a few magic orbs. When no magic is available, Tetsuzanko is a forward slam attack that knocks the enemy up and away from her.

She does this every time Tetsuzanko is performed, but ordinarily the projection wicked weave attack overshadows the physical move. There are a few other special moves that allow Bayonetta to sacrifice magic to perform weave attacks when she doesn't have time to perform a combo chain to set them up, such as Heel Stomp and Witch Twist, but Tetsuzanko is the one that both makes use of the attributes of the hand weapon equipped and creates a wicked weave attack that will knock back the enemy being that it's of the punch variety.

Given the nearly unlimited range of the attack with respect to normal combat scenarios within the game, Tetsuzanko can be used effectively as a powerful and quick long range attack, or a good way to get extra hits in on a boss that is far away from Bayonetta at the time, provided she has magic available. Used in conjunction with taunting to replenish magic during such scenarios, enhances its effectiveness in this regard.

In Bayonetta 2, Tetsuzanko returns as a purchasable technique at the Gates of Hell. Using Tetsuzanko during Umbran Climax will summon Madama Butterfly/Styx to perform a similar forward slam that also knocks enemies up into the air. Performing Tetsuzanko with Rakshasa equipped causes Bayonetta to back away from enemies before unleashing a double Wicked Weave. The dodge that comes with backing away can activate Witch Time if timed properly with an enemy attack.
