Are you still on? I wanted to bring the attention of some of these pages to your attention. I saw some of the pages regarding the characters are full of grammatical errors and needs to be better worded.
So right away after beating Bayonetta 2, I feel as If pretending Balder has two different "incarnations", which isn't true to begin with, can be sort of confusing given that the pages pretends two characters are seperate entities when they're not!
But discussing this with Ixban on Skype, I found that you have legitamante reason in doing so! So I propose a merging of the pages BUT keeping the Masked Lumen page that describes him being a enigmatic individual and whatnot! We could even go as far as to put boss fight information should we get to that point but the main page concerning his entire history and whatnot would be on Balder's page!
With your assistance, it would include a spoiler alert above, eventually a spoiler template like that from Zelda Wiki (example:Zant's page on Zelda Wiki.), and a spoiler alert script. To illustrate this, I would do as it has been done here! Though I would also go in at some point and add in information on his boss fights or redirect them to a page since the information on strategy can be so long it warrants it's own page.
With this, you'll be able to treat the pages as complete entities instead of the two and potentially confusing people by claiming two different "incarnations" while making note of spoilers!
I like your ideas for merging parts of the Lumen Sage page into Balder's main page. As for adding spoiler tags, especially the java-based one, I don't agree with it for a number of reasons; First is that Bayonetta 2 is about three years old now, and I feel like spoilers can exist in articles so long as the top of the article is tagged. If that still doesn't feel right we could take it a little further and add a second spoiler warning image just before the area where those spoilers will be detailed. Second, I dislike the spoiler alert script because it's always been somewhat intrusive to me. Maybe it's just a personal peeve I have, but when I navigate to a page I don't want to be clicking through prompts that block information on the page. Finally, I think if the page is divided up into sections detailing events from each game, the spoilers can be easily avoided by the reader, as they can just avoid the parts that pertain to that game.
Basically I agree that information should be consolidated more into a single page, especially considering that technically they're both the same character, but the game has been out for so long now that I don't think we really need to put special spoiler scripts on information like this. Of all the feedback I've gotten on this wiki, spoilers has never been among any of it, so I think we're fine.
Also, sorry it took me a few days to respond to this, I've been quite busy this last week. In the future, if I take a long while to respond, but you were able to bounce ideas off of Ixbran and get a general feel of what you want to do with a page, you can just go on ahead and do it and I'll check it out later. This Wiki doesn't have a very large and active community like most others, we've always been a small but devoted group, so any improvements to pages are generally welcomed here, even big ones.
That's okay, man. I get that you might be a bit busy. Don't forget I'm a wiki administrator too. From time to time, I get asked but may not get back in a few days.
But alright. I can merge the pages and make it flow just fine without throwing all information under the bus! I also wanted to say about merging the Cereza page with the Bayonetta page although that itself will actually need some special tuning because in the B1, the fact is that her history changed due to temporal interference when Balder brings young Bayo to present.
Hey. I recently got both Bayonetta 1 and 2 and love the shit out of it and decided to dedicate time to this wiki in my passtime among others since I am a fan of the franchise. I was wondering If you had a rules page and guidelines If any at all even!
so I was reading the page on bayonetta, and I came across this "On March 17th the web series Death Battle pitted her and Dante from Devil May Cry in battle, unfortunately she was defeated by him due to his high regeneration abilities , and making Witch Time useless with his Quicksilver Style "
Bayonetta 2 has been nominated for Video Game of the Year in the SXSW Awards, which Wikia is officially hosting this year! In order to drive any fans to the voting page that might be interested in rallying for their favorite game, we were wondering if we could place a badge on your main page that links to it?
