I noticed something looks off with the format of the pages. Some of them look off, like they no longer adjust to fit the size of the screen. I'm hoping you or another moderator could look into that if at all possible.
In Bayonetta 2, she calls herself by both names. She even told Loki he could choose. She has taken Cereza as her primary name and has for the majority of her fictional life. So I don't know by you changed the infobox to say "Bayonetta" as her real name when it's obviously an alias XD
Er...no. It's just a name. I don't mind referring to her as Bayonetta because it's the more popular alias used but narrative wise, it can care less. If anything, the fact that she tells Loki to call her Cereza would imply she woul prefer it more. After all, she was called "Cereza" for the majority of her life until the events of Bayonetta 1. She's gone under that alias for 20+ years and one month vs spending the majority of her entire life referred to as Cereza (and did so because she had amnesia and wanted to know her life). Added on to the fact that she expresses to Loki to call her either or early on in the game and that people still call her Cereza like her parents and her best friend and she doesn't bat an eye just as much with Bayonetta.
If you wanna use Bayonetta throughout, I don't mind. I usually fall under that referring to her outside her page but I use her birth name when discussing her previous history since she used that for that part of her life and it wasn't under 20 years before Bayonetta 1 that she uses "Bayonetta" as well as documenting her actual real name in a infobox.
Hey, I hope you like the way I've been making the music articles so far. Thanks for adding categories when I forgot to. I will continue making articles for the major songs the series if you like them. I've also made edits to match the format I've been doing (i.eMysterious Destiny, Red & Black, and Fly Me To The Moon).
I do not mean to be difficult, but I believe it is best to avoid speculation at all costs on Wikis. It is very unprofessional and disruptive of an article's flow. What is the Bayonetta Wiki's policy on the matter?
Generally the policy regarding those things is pretty lax here, but I do agree with you to a point. I also dislike speculation, but if it's based on present content in the game, I don't see too much of a problem with it.
Rather than outright deleting some of these theories, it might be better to create a speculation section on each page you're going through. A lot of discussion on this wiki springs up from speculative subjects, and they've proven healthy for the Wiki in the past.
As Omni said, its something thats helped keep the wiki active. Given the 5 year gap between Bayo1 and Bayo2, speculation and theories are what helped keep the wiki active. Again Most theories come from information supported by the game
The theory that Jeanne is Joan of Arc is supported by the fact that: Hideki Kamiya has gone on record stating that while Bayo is of English descent, Jeanne is of French descent. This, combined with the fact her birthday is the exact same date as the real Joan of Arcs, the fact they share the same name (Janne d'Arc in French, and Joan of Arc in English), strongly supports this.
Her connection to the Umbra Elder is very strong due to the fact she is "Heir" to the clan; she was about to become its next leader after the Umbra Elder. Being the Heir to something means its something you were born into, not something you can earn. So the idea of them being related is strongly supported by the use of the word "Heir". This is a theory supported by the majority, if not all the fans of the Series. The only thing we don't have is confirmation from Hideki him self.
Omni worked very hard to make this code so that the Nav box at the bottom of each page has its own section header, but doesnt have the txt visibly show up. It needs to be in its own section of the page so that people wont accidentally delete it.
I agree it would be better to have a "Speculation" section on articles for material that is purely speculative; that way, readers can clearly identify it as such. If the material regarding Jeanne's potential relations to the Umbran Elder were added to such a section, I would not be opposed to seeing the material in question return to the page, so long as it was written and presented well with substantial evidence to back it up.
I was not deleting coding from the Navigation template. No such coding appeared on the articles whilst I was editing them.
No offense, but it's a little too busy if you ask me. Viewers may not be able to tell where the text even is at first glance, plus the colors are just distracting. If I were you, I'd overlay the background with one dominant color to contrast the hue of the text.
I actually have a newer version that I had forgotten to upload, which helps to increased the visibility of the text. Thanks for reminding me, and thanks for the feedback. If you still have problems with it after I upload the new picture, then leave a message on my talk page.
